    The University of North Carolina and Wachovia would like to congratulate Marlene Mejia, the Wachovia Woman of the Week.

    Marlene is a sophomore tennis player from Lansdale, Pennsylvania. This past summer at age 19, she became the youngest woman ever to win the ITA National Summer Championship singles title. This wonderful accomplishment earned Marlene a wild card entry into the U.S. Open qualifying tournament.
