Meredith Anne Peck was born June 15, 1987. She is the daughter of Joanne Peck and James Peck. She has a twin sister and an older sister. Both attend North Carolina. Meredith is majoring in Journalism and Psychology. She is also a Public Service Scholar and in the Sports Communication Certificate program.
Meredith attended West Brunswick High School in Shallotte, NC. She was the salutatorian of her senior class. She was also a member of the National Honors Society, Interact, FBLA, and the Science Olympiad. She was a member of the varsity cross country, soccer and basketball teams. She was honored as the most improved athlete of the cross country team. Meredith was also on the all-county team in cross country.
Meredith walked on to the varsity fencing team at North Carolina in the fall of her freshman year. Known for her athleticism and determination, Meredith has been an excellent addition to the women's foil squad, starting in several varsity meets.
Meredith is incredibly busy outside of her athletic commitments. She is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, psychology club, Student Poverty Outreach and Big Buddy. She also enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with her friends and community service.
