General: One of the team's most versatile swimmers...three-time letter winner at UNC...stands out as a sprint freestyler and backstroker who also swims the butterfly...ranked No. 1 on the UNC depth chart in 2004-05 and 2005-06 in the 100-yard backstroke...named to the 2005-06 All-ACC Academic Women's Swimming Team...competed for the Spartaquatics Swim Club for coach Mike Faltraco.
2005-06: Had a productive junior campaign with her best swims of the year coming in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle at the ACC Championships...swam a career-best 55.68 in the back to take home fourth place in the event...the next day she touched in with a career-best 51.15 in the 100 free to finish seventh...was also a key contributor on the UNC relay teams at ACC's...anchored the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays which took fifth and third respectively...then led off the sixth place 400-yard medley relay team with a 56.32 split and the 200-yard medley relay with a 25.91 split...also competed in the 50-yard freestyle.
2004-05: Continued to improve and assert herself as one of the team's top backstrokers and sprint freestylers...at the ACC Championships, she swam the backstroke leg on the third-place 200-yard medley relay...reached the championship final of the 100-yard backstroke, finishing seventh with a time of 56.83...swam the backstroke leg of the fourth-place 400-yard medley relay...finished 18th in the 100-yard freestyle with a then career best 51.89...also swam the 50-yard freestyle and on the 200-yard freestyle relay...named to the 2004-05 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2003-04: The only Tar Heel freshman to swim at the NCAA Championships...swam a 29.37 split on the backstroke leg of the 18th-place 200-meter medley relay...at the ACC Championships, she placed 11th in the 100-yard backstroke... led off the second-place 400-yard freestyle relay team with a split of 51.94...led off the fourth-place 200-yard freestyle relay...set then personal bests in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles.
Prep: Graduated from Spartanburg Day School on May 30, 2003...an outstanding four-year swimmer in the sprint freestyle and backstroke...high school All-America in the 100 free and 100 back...team captain in 2002 and 2003...also the team MVP in 2002 and 2003...four-year scholar-athlete award winner...named to Cum Laude Society as a senior...four-year member of student government and Astra Service Club as well as participating as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
