    Tar Heels Take Lead At ACC Championships

    UNC goes 2-3 in 50-yard freestyle to spark strong second day.

    Career Best Scores: 335.65 in 1-Meter Diving (6th in school history); 331.75 in 3-Meter Diving (7th in school history); 287.90 in 10-Meter Platform Diving (5th in school history).
    General: A two-time returning letterman who adds talent and depth in one of UNC's best diving contingents in years...two-time NCAA Zone Diving qualifier.
    2010-11 (Sophomore): Had some top finishes at the 2011 NCAA zone diving championships...placed 16th in the one-meter competition and 17th on the 10-meter platform.
    2009-10 (Freshman): Turned in some solid finishes at the ACC Championships...placed 11th in one-meter diving with a score of 320.30...was 13th in the 10-meter platform event...took 17th on the three-meter board with a tally of 302.90...won the one-meter event in UNC's dual meet victory over Georgia.
    Prep: Won the 4A Texas state championship his junior and senior years after placing third and fourth, respectively, in his freshman and sophomore seasons...in 2008, he placed fourth and fifth at the U.S. Junior West National Championships and seventh at the U.S. Junior National Champion-ships...invited to be on the U.S./Great Britain Challenge team...a U.S. Senior Nationals qualifier in the one-meter, three-meter, and three-meter synchro events...2009 age group national champion...National Honor Society member...high school diving team captain.

    Section #1: Swimming & Diving

    1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel diver is being a part of one of the greatest athletic programs in the NCAA.
    2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Lawrence is the ridiculousness of his stories and the experiences we have on trips.
    3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my attitude.
    4. My best friend on another college diving team is Wil Mayo at Navy.
    5. My greatest strength as a diver is my competitiveness.
    Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
    1. Away from the pool and academic pursuits I like to spend time listening to music, hanging with friends, playing Xbox, going to the lake, and playing paintball.
    2. The best movie I've seen recently is Horrible Bosses.
    3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be soccer.
    4. The music acts I'd most like to see in person is Matt & Kim or The Smashing Pumpkins.

    1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included seafood of every kind.
    2. My favorite beverage is Monster or orange juice with lots of pulp.
    3. My favorite food made by a relative is cheeseburgers by my mom.
