    ATLANTA, GA. - The North Carolina swimming teams finished up their fine weekend of swimming at the U.S. Swimming Nationals in Atlanta, highlighted by an Olympic Trials cut obtained by senior Kelsey Morrissy.

    At Sunday's timed finzl U.S. Long Course Invitational, the senior from Horsham, Pa., clocked a blistering 57.12 to place seventh in the 100-meter freestyle, swimming under the Olympic Cut for the 2008 U.S. trials.

    Freshman Rebecca Kane was 53rd in the eventat 59.41.

    Freshman Tyler Harris motored on in his brilliant weekend of swimming as he touched second in the 400-meter IM in 4L32.30, a U.S. Open qualifying time.

    Meanwhile, sophomore Ashley Howard placed 25th in the 100-meter backstroke at 1:05.77.
