    Junior Ariel Roberts finished third in the women's pentathlon Friday to lead the Tar Heels on Day 1 of the SPIRE Invitational. The two-day meet continues Saturday and features 18 competitive teams from across the NCAA, including Auburn, Ohio State, Texas, Indiana, Michigan State and ACC schools Florida State and Virginia Tech.

    Senior Tasha Stanley and sophomore Lianne Farber led Carolina at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational as the two Tar Heels ran personal-best times in their races Saturday. The two-day meet, held at The Armory, is one of the largest and most competitive regular season meets in the NCAA.

    North Carolina shined at the Kent Taylor Invitational Saturday as the Tar Heels won ten events at the Eddie Smith Field House. UNC won a mix of field and track events as they took first in eight individual and two relays events in their third home meet of the season.

    Carolina competed in three events on the first day of the New Balance Collegiate Invitational Friday at The Armory. Juniors Chris DiLorenzo and Kwabena Keene both competed in the men's shot put, and the relay team of sophomore Lianne Farber and seniors Zoey Russell, Tasha Stanley and Ashley Verplank competed in the women's Distance Medley Relay.
