2007 SEASON
Redshirt season • Underwent thoracic outlet decompression surgery due to a blood clot in his right shoulder in November 2006 and rehabbed throughout the season • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and earned Dean's List honors in the spring semester.

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year standout at pitcher and third base for coach Bill Seiple at Naperville Central High School • Led team to state title as senior • Earned all-state honors as senior from the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and Prep Baseball Report • Two-time all-conference choice and 2006 conference player of the year • Also played football for two seasons • Member of the National Honor Society • Played summer ball with the White Sox Academy and went 5-0 with a 2.10 ERA.
