    AS A SOPHOMORE (2006)
    Had one of the top seasons by a shortstop in all of college baseball • Earned first-team All-America honors from Rivals.com, second-team accolades from Baseball America and a spot on the Collegiate Baseball's Louisville Slugger third team • Also named to the All-ACC first team and the ABCA All-Region first team • Started 68 of 69 games at shortstop • Hit .395 (107-for-271) to win just the second ACC batting title since 1979 for Carolina • Had 107 hits to rank second in the ACC, fifth nationally and second on the Tar Heels' single-season list • Also scored 62 runs and drove in 59 • Had 17 doubles, one triple and seven home runs • Led UNC with a .455 on-base percentage and also posted a .542 slugging percentage • Stole 12 bases in 13 attempts • Second on the team with 34 multi-hit games and was third with 17 multi-RBI games • Hit .423 with runners on base and .430 with runners in scoring position • Hit safely in 59 of 68 games played, including 26 of the first 28 • Posted a career-best 15-game hitting streak from April 18 to May 16 and also had 12-game hit streaks from Feb. 17 to March 12 and March 12 to April 2 • Hit .379 with three homers and 19 RBI in ACC play • Hit .333 with 11 RBI in the NCAA Tournament to earn a spot on the all-tournament teams of both the Chapel Hill Regional and the College World Series • Named to regional all-tourney team after hitting .417 with four RBI • Had a season-high four hits with two runs scored and three RBI versus Towson March 22 • Also went 4-for-4 with a home run and a season-best four RBI in the regional final against Winthrop June 4 • Homered and drove in three runs against Alabama in the Super Regional June 9 • Drove in the game-winning run with a 13th-inning single in the CWS opener against Cal State Fullerton June 16 • Tallied 11 three-hit games and five three-RBI games on the year • Had five three-hit games in ACC play • Scored a season-best three runs on four occasions • Recorded six straight multi-hit games from Feb. 19 to March 1 • Notched six hits in series wins over then-No. 1 Florida State and then-No. 7 NC State and in a series loss at then-No. 9 Virginia.     AS A FRESHMAN (2005)
    One of the nation's top rookie shortstops • Earned Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball and second-team All-ACC accolades • Named midseason freshman All-America by Baseball America • Played in 58 games and started 53 at shortstop after earning in the job in late February • Ranked second on the team with a .347 average (67-for-193) • Drove in 35 runs and scored 29 times • Tied for the team lead with three triples and added two home runs and 11 doubles • Posted a .466 slugging percentage and a .398 on-base percentage • Stole five bases in seven attempts • Hit .396 with runners on base and .355 with runners in scoring position • Third on the team with 20 multi-hit games, including nine games with at least three hits • Had six multi-RBI games • Went 4-for-6 with a double, triple and career-best six RBI at East Carolina April 19 • Was 4-for-5 with a game-tying triple in the eighth inning at NC State April 30 • Also added four hits against Towson • Went 3-for-4 with a career-best four runs scored and a home run versus Winthrop March 29 • Also homered against Wake Forest March 25 • Went 3-for-4 with four RBI at Maryland April 8 • Was 8-for-14 with four RBI in the NC State series and went 7-for-14 in the series at Florida State • Had eight multi-hit games in a 10-game stretch from April 26 to May 15 • Member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
