    AS A JUNIOR (2004)
    Earned second-team All-ACC honors • One of three Tar Heels to start all 64 games • Played at both second base and shortstop • Batted a career-best .308 (80-for-260) and led the team with 16 stolen bases in 23 attempts • Posted 10 doubles, one triple and two home runs • Tied for fifth on the team with 24 runs batted in • Second on the team with 57 runs scored and third with 80 hits • Was hit by a pitch 12 times • Batted .330 with runners on base and .556 with the bases loaded • Hit .340 in ACC play • Tied for second on the team with 23 multi-hit games, including a string of five in a row in April • Had seven games with three or more hits, including a four-hit effort against Maryland on May 7 • Posted an 11-game hitting streak from May 16 to June 4 • Went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI versus the Terps in the ACC Tournament • Also had three hits at Virginia on March 20 and at Georgia Tech on April 11 • Had four multi-RBI games • Drove in a total of eight runs during the ACC and NCAA tournaments • Hit both of his home runs in the NC State series.     Batted .305 on the season in 57 starts at second base • Drove in 34 runs and scored 42 times • Also stole eight bases in 14 attempts • Posted a .966 fielding percentage at second base • Had a 14-game hitting streak from March 11-29 • Tallied career-best four-hit games against both Delaware State (Feb. 20) and Elon (April 22) • Had 22 multi-hit games • Posted two or more hits in five consecutive games during the ACC and NCAA Tournaments • Went 7-for-14 with four runs scored and five RBI during the NCAA Regional win at Mississippi State and was named to the Regional All-Tournament Team for the second straight year • Drove in a career-best four runs in the May 31 game versus the Bulldogs • Went 3-for-5 with three RBI in the March 29 victory at Florida State • Also drove in three runs and had three hits at Clemson on May 10. Summer 2003: Batted .279 with the Gastonia Grizzlies of the Coastal Plain League.

    AS A FRESHMAN (2002)
    Started 26 games at second base • Appeared in 28 games off the bench • Finished the season without making an error in the field • Had a hit in each game of the Memorial Health Diamond Classic in Savannah, Ga. • Went 2-for-2 with an RBI and run scored against Liberty on April 2 • Had three hits against Davidson on April 10 • Went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored versus NC State on April 19 • Went 6-for-15 and played outstanding defense in five games of the NCAA Regional Tournament in Columbia, S.C., and was named to Regional All-Tournament Team. Summer 2002: Hit .257 and stole a team-high 16 bases with the Gastonia Grizzlies of the Coastal Plain League.
