Complete Baseball America Preseason Top 25 Poll

DURHAM, N.C. - After an Atlantic Coast Conference record four-straight trips to the College World Series, North Carolina enters the 2010 season ranked No. 20 in Baseball America's preseason rankings, which were released Wednesday. The Tar Heels, who own the nation's longest streak with four consecutive College World Series appearances, were 48-18 a year ago.

In addition to the No. 20 spot in the Baseball America poll, Carolina was rated No. 13 by Collegiate Baseball. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Ping! Baseball polls have yet to be released.

The Tar Heels were one of six Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the top 25. Others included No. 2 Virginia, No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 9 Florida State, No. 15 Clemson and No. 16 Miami. North Carolina's 2010 ACC slate features all teams ranked in the top 25. Coastal Carolina, another 2010 opponent, is ranked No. 12 for the first time ever in the preseason.

Carolina will open the 2010 season Feb. 19 at Boshamer Stadium against George Washington.
