Other nominees:

Junior Brie Felnagle turned in a stellar performance in the 1500-meter run on Saturday as she broke her own school record as she clocked a 4:08.54 at the UNC Elite Meet in Chapel Hill. Felnagle now owns a top four national time in both the 800 and 1500 along with a top 25 time in the 5000 and has put herself in a good position for the NCAA East Regional in two weeks. Felnagle held the previous Carolina-best outdoor mark in the 1500 with a 4:09.93 in 2007.

MEGAN BOSICA

Sophomore, Ellicott City, Md.

Bosica scored four second-half goals as the unseeded Tar Heels nearly pulled off their second consecutive upset of a seeded team on the road in NCAA Tournament play.
