OMAHA, Neb. - North Carolina sophomore All-Americas Dustin Ackley, Tim Fedroff and Alex White each capped stellar campaigns with a spot on the 2008 College World Series All-Tournament Team, which was announced Wednesday after Fresno State's win over Georgia in the final game of the tourney. Ackley, who hit .522 (12-23) in Omaha, was named to the All-CWS team for the second straight year. Fedroff batted .476 (10-21) with a double, a triple and two RBI. White earned all three wins in the CWS for Carolina and posted a 3.38 ERA in 13 1/3 innings. He struck out 12 and walked just four. White tossed seven strong innings in the Tar Heels' opening win over LSU and then earned wins in relief against LSU and Fresno State in back-to-back elimination games. The Tar Heels' three selections were second to the five Bulldogs that were honored. Fresno's Tommy Mendonca was named the Most Outstanding Player.
