Tar Heels No. 4 In Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll

CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina baseball team was picked No. 4 in the Collegiate Baseball newspaper's 2012 preseason top 40 poll, the publication announced on Monday. Carolina won 51 games last season and have advanced to the College World Series in five of the last six seasons. UNC was the third overall seed in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels also placed three players on the Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-America teams as sophomore Colin Moran was a second team selection along with pitchers Kent Emanuel and Michael Morin who earned third team honors.
