Williams High School in Burlington • Captain in basketball and soccer • Earned all-conference and was team MVP in basketball as a senior • Three-time all-conference, two-time all-region center midfielder in soccer • Two-time city-county champion in the 400 meters • Student body president • National Honor Society member • Graduated No. 2 in his class • Member of English, Latin and math honor societies • Nephew of former Tar Heel basketball player and former Charlotte mayor Richard Vinroot • Son of Karen and Ed Wooten.
