    CHAPEL HILL - The Dean E. Smith Center will be closed to the public from Friday July 31 through Sunday August 23, Smith Center Director Angie Bitting announced today.

    The Smith Center court, concourse and other areas will be closed due to the annual refinishing of the playing surface and other maintenance projects.
