Led the team in sacks last season with four, three coming in one game against East Carolina • Enters the fall as the starter at left defensive end • Has worked hard to add weight since coming to Carolina, adding over 30 pounds since coming to school in 2002 • Earned "Super Ram" status in the offseason strength and conditioning program.
2003: Freshman Season
Played in 10 games and started against Clemson and Maryland • Finished the season with 16 tackles, including 13 primary stops and three assists, three quarterback hurries and two pass breakups • Had four sacks for 10 yards • Three of those sacks came in the win at East Carolina • Played in his first career game at Wisconsin • Had one tackle at NC State • Made four tackles at Clemson, including three solo stops • Registered three tackles and one sack for three yards at Maryland • Played 279 snaps, including a season-high 53 snaps at Maryland • Redshirted in 2002.

Rated the No. 18 senior in Maryland by SuperPrep •Three-year starter • Had 72 tackles and 10 sacks as a senior •Played on the interior defensive line as a sophomore and junior, but was moved to defensive end as a senior • Had 80 tackles and nine sacks as a junior • Also played tight end • Cousin of current Tar Heel tight end Bobby Blizzard • Coached by Mike Rudden • Played basketball as a junior.
