    2011 - Senior Season
    Semifinalist for the Butkus Award, which is given annually to the nation's top linebacker • Earned first-team All-ACC honors after leading the team with 105 tackles, despite missing one game on defense (12 starts) • Was second on the team with 13.5 tackles for losses and 5.5 sacks • Also had three interceptions for 24 yards three forced fumbles and four pass breakups • Had five double-digit tackle games to his credit this season, including a season-high 14 in the bowl game vs. Missouri • Had nine solo stops and five assists to go along with two tackles for losses and an interception in the Independence Bowl against Missouri • Posted 10 tackles for the second consecutive week in a 37-21 win over Duke, including six solo stops and four assists • Had 1.5 tackles for losses against the Blue Devils • Had 10 tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss in a 3-point loss at Virginia Tech • Named ACC Linebacker of the Week after his standout performance in Carolina's 49-24 win over Wake Forest • Forced and recovered a fumble on a sack of Wake's Tanner Price on the first possession of the game • Carolina scored on the ensuing possession to take a 7-0 lead • Finished with a team-best nine tackles, including 2.5 for losses of 11 yards, and had an interception against the Deacons • Had an outstanding game at Clemson with seven tackles and two sacks for 14 yards • Also broke up a pass against the Tigers • Had four tackles in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Led the team with 11 tackles in a 14-7 win over Louisville • Also had an interception and two quarterback pressures as the Tar Heels held the Cardinals scorless for 59 minutes • Recorded six tackles, including a tackle for loss, and broke up two passes in a a 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Did not play on defense vs. Georgia Tech, but did play on 18 special teams plays and had one tackle • Led the team with a season-high 12 tackles and forced a fumble in Carolina's 28-17 win over Virginia • Had six tackles, including 1.5 sacks for eight yards, and broke up a pass against Rutgers • Carolina limited the Scarlet Knights to just one yard rushing, the fewest by an opponent since 2000 • Led the team with six tackles in the season-opening 42-10 win over James Madison • Posted 2.5 tackles for losses, including a sack for six yards.

    2010 - Junior Season
    Despite starting just five games, Brown finished second on the team with 72 tackles, including 47 primary stops • Also had three interceptions for 113 yards • Played in all 13 games and made starts against LSU, Clemson, ECU, Virginia and Tennessee • Earned enough points to be named a special teams captain • Carolina awards points throughout the year on special teams and the player(s) with the most points are named captains • Was pressed into the starting job after Quan Sturdivant injured his hamstring in the Rutgers game and started the Tennessee game after Bruce Carter went down with an injury • Posted four tackles, including one tackle for loss, and had one interception for 43 yards in Carolina's Music City Bowl win over the Volunteers • Had three tackles in Carolina's 24-19 win at Duke • Posted two stops against NC State • Assisted on two tackles against Virginia Tech • Posted four tackles in a 37-35 win at Florida State • Had five tackles, including three primary stops, in the win over William & Mary • Posted his third-straight double-digit tackle game by matching his career-high with 14 tackles at Miami • Had a career-best 11 primary stops against the Hurricanes and assisted on a tackle for loss • Recorded 10 tackles and returned an interception 70 yards to set up a UNC score in Carolina's first win at Virginia since 1981 • Started and had 14 tackles, including 10 primary stops, in a big win over Clemson • Recorded three tackles in the win over East Carolina •Had five tackles in the win at Rutgers, playing significant minutes late in the game • Had two tackles vs. Georgia Tech • Started and had four tackles vs. LSU in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta.

    Started the first six games at weakside linebacker after playing primarily on special teams a year ago • Finished the regular season with 47 tackles, including four for losses • Made two tackles vs. Pittsburgh in the Meineke Car Care Bowl • Had three tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss at NC State • Had four tackles in a 31-13 win at Boston College • Made two tackles in the win over No. 12 Miami • Posted one tackle in the win over Duke • Had five solo tackles vs. Florida State • Registered six tackles and made his first career interception in the win over Georgia Southern • Posted three tackles vs. Virginia • Had eight tackles, including 1.5 tackles for losses, at Georgia Tech • Posted four tackles, including a 1-yard tackle for loss, in Carolina's 31-17 win over ECU • Had five tackles in a defensive struggle at Connecticut • Had an impressive debut against The Citadel with four tackles, including a 5-yard tackle for loss.     2008 - Freshman Season
    True freshman who played on special teams and as a reserve linebacker • Posted six tackles, including four primary stops and two assists • Recorded one tackle in the Meineke Car Care Bowl vs. West Virginia • Had one tackle vs. Georgia Tech • Assisted on one special teams tackle vs. Boston College • Had a special teams tackle on a kickoff return vs. Virginia Tech • Had two tackles in the win at Rutgers.

    Rated the No. 12 prep player in the country by Rivals.com • Blocked a punt for a touchdown in a game against Marshall while at Hargrave • Played running back and linebacker at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Md. • Rushed for 1,537 yards and 20 touchdowns and collected over 90 solo tackles as a senior • Also had a successful wrestling career, going 29-0 with 17 pins and five technical falls • Won the class 3-A title in the 100-meter dash (10.67 seconds) and 200-meter dash (21.52) • Coached by Doug Duvall at Wilde Lake High School and Robert Prunty at Hargrave Military Academy.
