    Played his first season at wide receiver in 2003 after playing two years at safety • Continues to learn the position, and gives the Tar Heels needed depth.

    2003: Junior season
    Played in the first two games against Florida State and Syracuse • Had one catch for nine yards in his first career game at wide receiver against the Seminoles • Played on 57 snaps, including 34 against Florida State and 22 against Syracuse.

    2002: Sophomore season
    Played in every game and started the first four games of the season at strong safety • Also played on special teams • Finished the season with 32 tackles, including 20 solo and 12 assists • Also had three pass breakups, two tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble • Posted a season-high eight tackles and forced a fumble against Miami • Had seven tackles and one tackle for loss at Syracuse • Made five stops against Texas • Recorded three tackles, including an 11-yard sack against Maryland.

    2001: Freshman season
    One of only two true freshmen to see action in every game and one of seven true freshmen to play • Played primarily on special teams, but was one of the top reserves in the defensive backfield • Played 170 snaps, including a season-high 28 vs. Duke • Finished the season with five tackles, including four solo stops and one assist • Also had one tackle in the Peach Bowl vs. Auburn • Broke up one pass at Clemson • Had solo tackles against Texas, FSU, Georgia Tech and Duke.
