    Elected to forgo his final year of eligibility, graduate from UNC and enter the NFL Draft • Excellent blocking tight end who improved as a receiver.

    2008 - Senior Season
    Started 12 games at tight end for the Tar Heels • Has career-bests of eight catches for 97 yards on the season • Had one catch for five yards against West Virginia in the Meineke Car Care Bowl • Caught two passes for a career-best 42 yards and a 32-yard touchdown reception in the win at Duke • The 32-yard scored marked the longest play of his career • Honored as one of the Tar Heels' offensive players of the week following the win over the Blue Devils • Also named one of the Tar Heels' offensive players of the week following the win over No. 20 Georgia Tech • Caught one pass for seven yards against No. 23 Boston College Had a 4-yard grab at Virginia • Posted a career-best 15-yard reception versus Notre Dame • Made two catches for 24 yards, including a 14-yarder at Miami.

    2007: Started eight games at tight end and had four catches for 27 yards and a TD • Had an 8-yard grab vs. Maryland • Made a 6-yard catch at Wake Forest • Had a career-long 11-yard catch in the win over Miami and was named one of the team's co-offensive players of the week • Scored a touchdown against Virginia on a 2-yard reception, the first of his career.

    2005 - Freshman Season
    Played in nine games on special teams and as a reserve tight end • Had one tackle on special teams against Maryland • Enrolled at North Carolina in January, 2005 and participated in spring drills.
