East Mecklenburg High School
Earned all-conference and all-county honors at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte Kicked a 54-yard field goal, the longest in school history and the second-longest in state history Played four years of soccer and set school records for assists in a game, season and career Earned all-conference honors and led his team to the state finals Member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.

Majoring in journalism with a minor in communications His father, Morris, played basketball for Wichita State His mother, Pam, was a cheerleader for Wichita State His sister, Kristen, played soccer at UNC Charlotte and one year professionally for the Carolina Speed.
