2003 - Junior Season
Started all 12 games at right tackle • Saw action on 603 snaps, an average of 50.1 per game • Played a season-high 73 snaps in the win over Wake Forest • Helped Carolina revive its running game as the Tar Heels averaged over 150 yards rushing per contest, the highest mark since 1995.
2002 - Sophomore Season
Played in 12 games and started 11 at offensive tackle • Started nine games at right tackle and two (Wake Forest, Maryland) at left tackle • Played 858 snaps, including a season-high 88 snaps in the win at Syracuse • Played an average of 72 snaps per game.
2001 - Freshman Season
Played in six regular-season games and started the Clemson game in the place of injured starter Greg Woofter • Was outstanding at Clemson, helping UNC rush for 219 yards and gain more than 400 total yards of offense •Played a season-high 34 snaps against Clemson • Saw action on 28 snaps at Maryland and 24 snaps at Texas.
Williams High School
Played for Coach Sam Story • Tri-captained Williams to the 3-A state championship with a 15-1 record as a senior • Played in the Shrine Bowl • Associated Press all-state selection • Was a two-time all-conference and two-time all-region choice • Honorable Mention All-America by USA Today • Team gained 4,513 total yards • Invited to play in the East-West All-Star Game • Also earned all-area honors in the shot put and discus.
