    A slew of former Tar Heels will be in action tonight when Denver meets Pittsburgh in a big Monday night game. The Steelers' Willie Parker, Jeff Reed and Greg Warren will challenge Richard Quinn and the Broncos tonight. Safety Gerald Sensabaugh helped lead the Cowboys' over the Eagles last night 20-16.

    Sam Aiken, New England- 7th year wide receiver pulled down two receptions for 17 yards as the Patriots knocked off Miami 27-17.

    Ethan Albright, Washington- 38-year-old deep snapper helped the Redskins average 50 yards per punt in a 31-17 losing effort at Atlanta.

    Kentwan Balmer, San Francisco- Second year defensive tackle recorded two assists, yet quarterback Vince Young and the re-energized Titans proved too much, winning 34-27.

    Dre’ Bly, San Francisco- Veteran defensive back posted one tackle and one assist as San Francisco fell to 3-5 on the season.

    Jason Brown, St Louis- Starting center and the Rams were off this week but will host the undefeated Saints next Sunday.

    Alge Crumpler, Tennessee- Nine-year veteran tight end proved his offensive versatility for the Titans, helping clear holes for Chris Johnson as he reeled off 135 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

    Greg Ellis, Oakland- Pro bowl defensive end and Oakland had a bye and will host Kansas City next week.

    Brooks Foster, St Louis- Rookie wide receiver, who was the Rams’ fifth-round pick this year, is on injured reserve after ankle surgery.


     

     

    Madison Hedgecock, New York Giants- Fullback led the charge as the Giants compiled 116 total rushing yards in a 21-20 losing effort to the Chargers.

    Jesse Holley, Dallas- Wide receiver is listed on the Cowboys’ practice squad.

    Vonnie Holliday, Denver- Veteran defensive end will be in action Monday night as the Broncos host the 5-2 Steelers.

    Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants- Rookie wide receiver, the Giants’ first round pick, compiled one rush for 9 yards as well as 3 receptions for 39 yards as New York fell to 5-4 on the season.

    Willie Parker, Pittsburgh- Sixth-year running back will travel to Denver for Monday Night Football this week.

    Julius Peppers, Carolina- Coming off a career day last week, the former All-America defensive end recorded one tackle as the Panthers fell to the Saints 30-20.

    Richard Quinn, Denver- Tight end, who was selected by the Broncos in the second round of the 2009 draft, will hope to help Denver stay atop the AFC West when the Steelers come to town on Monday.

    Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh- Veteran kicker will play on Monday at Denver to help the Steelers catch the Bengals in the AFC North.

    Garrett Reynolds, Atlanta- Rookie offensive tackle was inactive as the Falcons beat Washington 31-17.

    Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis- Three-time Pro Bowl center anchored the Indianapolis pocket, allowing Peyton Manning to yet again cross the 300-yard threshold, posting 318 yards in a narrow 20-17 Indianapolis victory over the Texans.

    Gerald Sensabaugh, Dallas- Starting safety was the defensive star for the Cowboys, leading the team with six tackles in addition to one interception as Dallas held off the Eagles 20-16.

    Ryan Sims, Tampa Bay- Starting defensive tackle posted one tackle and one sack as the Bucs outdueled the Packers 38-28 in Tampa.

    Brandon Tate, New England- Rookie wide receiver returned two kickoffs for an average of 31 yards per return to help the Patriots roll to three straight against the Dolphins.

    Hilee Taylor, Carolina- Second-year defensive end did not play in Carolina’s fall to New Orleans.

    David Thornton, Tennessee- Starting linebacker was inactive for Sunday’s 34-27 win over the 49ers.

    Greg Warren, Pittsburgh- Deep snapper and the Steelers will hit the gridiron on Monday against the Broncos.

    Wallace Wright, New York Jets- Veteran special teams ace and the Jets have an extra week off before returning to action next Sunday as Jacksonville comes to tow
