    The University of North Carolina men's golf team finished eighth in the Seahawk Intercollegiate after the final round of play was canceled due to a winter storm and the second round results were made final. The Tar Heels were led by sophomore Matt Raudenbush who finished play in a tie for 24th place at six-over par. Carolina shot a 35-over-par 611 team total. Augusta State, the only team to shoot under par through two rounds won the team title.

    Raudenbush carded a 78 in the first round and an even-par 72 in the second round of play. Junior Henry Zaytoun III finished in a tie for 33rd placed with an eight-over-par 152 total. The Raleigh, N.C. native posted a 77 in the first round and a 75 on Monday afternoon.

    Freshman Michael McGowan, a native of Southern Pines, N.C., shot a 12-over-par 156 throughout Monday's two rounds. He fired a 79 in the first round and a 77 in the second round of play to finish tied for 46th place. Juniors Kevin O'Connell and Philip Chauncey tied for 52nd place after both recorded a 16-over-par 160 total. O'Connell, a native of Cary, N.C., fired an 84 in the first round and a 76 in the second round. Chauncey, a Durham, N.C. native, shot a 77 in the first round and an 83 Monday afternoon.

    Led by Patrick Reed and Henrik Norlander, Augusta State won the tournament with a seven-under-par 569 total. South Carolina captured second place and UNC-Wilmington took third.

    Augusta State's Reed and East Carolina's Jake Colley finished as co-champions in the individual standings. Reed and Colley were five-under par. Augusta State's Norlander and UNC-Wilmington's Josh Brock tied for third place at three-under par.

    The Seahawk was shortened to a 36-hole tournament on Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall. The course features a par 72, 7,058-yard layout.

    The Tar Heels return to action on Friday, March 12 at the Seminole Intercollegiate.
