    Junior - 2008 Season
    Veteran started the Tar Heels' last six matches and keyed the postseason run in goal • Hampered early by a pair of concussions but played in nine games on the season with eight starts • Posted a 1.05 goals against average and made 27 saves in 769:22 on the season • Ranked fifth in the ACC in goals against average, was fifth in save percentage (.750) and saves per game (3.00) and tied for seventh with three shutouts • Was at his best in the postseason, allowing just three goals and logging three shutouts in five chances • Earned a spot on the NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team for his efforts • Recorded 21 of 27 saves in the NCAA tourney, including a career-best seven stops in a shutout of No. 1 Wake Forest in the Dec. 12 national semifinal • Turned away shot after shot in the second half against the Demon Deacons, who outshot the Tar Heels by a 20-9 margin after intermission • Blanked No. 15 Northwestern on four saves Dec. 6 in the quarterfinal round • Posted first shutout of 2008 in the NCAA second round win over Jacksonville with three saves • Also made three stops in the third-round win over No. 14 UIC • Combined to allow just one goal over three halves of soccer against No. 4 Maryland Nov. 7-12 • Entered at halftime of the regular season finale in College Park Nov. 7 and played every minute the rest of the way • Also went the distance in goal at Liberty Sept. 16 and at No. 14 Boston College Sept. 19.

    Sophomore - 2007 Season

    Played in four games and made three starts at goalkeeper • Posted a 0.64 goals against average in 282 minutes in net • Made six saves and allowed two goals • Recorded a shutout against High Point Oct. 23 • Also started against Liberty Oct. 2 and Wake Forest Nov. 3 • Underwent knee surgery in the preseason, limiting his action.

    Freshman - 2006 Season

    Saw action in three matches in relief of Justin Hughes • Started against Liberty and Quinnipiac Sept. 9 and Sept. 12 and posted back-to-back shutouts • Saved all seven shots on goal for a 1.000 save percentage over the two wins • Also came on for penalty kicks in the ACC Tournament game with No. 1-ranked Wake Forest, which saw the Demon Deacons advance, 5-4 on PKs.

    Standout goalkeeper at Cary High School • Earned NSCAA/adidas High School Scholar All-America honors in 2005 • All-state selection and a participant in the 2006 North Carolina East-West All-Star Game • Also played six seasons with CASL Elite and the North Carolina ODP team • Member of the Region III ODP squad for four seasons • Won a Super Y-League national title with CASL • Also played football and baseball for two seasons at Cary High • Honor student and member of the National Honor Society.
