Prep - Eugene Ashley High School
NSCAA/adidas High School All-America as a senior at Eugene Ashley High School • Also named NSCAA Region III Player of the Year and to the All-South squad • Honored as the Wilmington Star-News Player of the Year as a senior • Two-time all-state and three-time all-conference and all-region choice • Member of the North Carolina ODP team from 2001-07 and the Region III player pool from 2003-07 • Helped lead the `89 North Carolina team to the 2007 national title • Participated in the Under-17 Men's National Team Residency Program in the spring of 2004 • Played club soccer with the `88 CASL Elite and helped the team to a number of prestigious tournament titles • Member of the National Honor Society.

Brett Thomas King is the son of Elizabeth and the late Thomas King • Born Feb. 22, 1989, in Park Ridge, Ill. • Has two brothers • Majoring in business administration at Carolina and hopes to pursue a career as an investment broker • Grandfather played football at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.
