PHILADELPHIA - Former North Carolina standout Logan Pause made his third start for the United States in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup and went the distance in the midfield Friday in a 2-1 quarterfinal overtime win over Panama at Lincoln Financial Field.

Kenny Cooper's penalty kick in the 105th minute was the difference, as the U.S. side advanced to meet Honduras Thursday in Chicago in the semifinals.

Pause, who is seeing his first action with the U.S. Men's National Team, has started three of the four games.
