Tar Heels In The Pros
The first full month of the Major League Soccer season is in the books and 11 former Tar Heels have seen first team action so far.

All-America forward Billy Schuler is starting to break into the rotation at Hammarby IF in Sweden as the former Tar Heel notched his first career assist on Monday. Schuler came off the bench in the 66th minute and assisted on Hammarby's final goal in a 3-1 win.

North Carolina student-athletes joined with coaches, administrators and staff Monday evening at the Dean E. Smith Center to celebrate the 2011-12 school year and the seasons of all 28 Tar Heel varsity teams at UNC's annual All-Sports Banquet. The evening included recognition of the year's outstanding performances in the classroom and in competition.

Three current Tar Heels and an incoming freshman were named to the 24-man U-20 MNT Training Camp roster this week set for Apri 9-16 in Portland, Ore. The team will take on the University of Portland as well as the University of Washington.

Former North Carolina defender and current Philadelphia Union defender Sheanon Williams was named to the final roster for the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team on Tuesday. Williams is one of 20 players named to the final roster for the 2012 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying tournament.
