General - Three-time returning letterman for the Tar Heels ...was born August 20, 1983...son of Jim and Janet Janda...has one brother and one sister...nicknamed "Jiggs."
As a Junior - Went 10-6 for the Tar Heels in singles...Finished 22-11 in doubles, going 12-4 with teammate Raian Luchici...Had a strong start in the ITA Region Indoor Championships, qualifying for the Main Draw singles by defeating two opponents from Winthrop and N.C. State.
As a Sophomore - Had a 5-7 overall singles record as a sophomore...played in one dual match in a win over Gardner-Webb...had the clinching victory in that match...had a 5-4 overall record in doubles play, going 4-2 with Brad Pomeroy.
As a Freshman - Had a 2-4 singles record in his freshman year...had a 2-1 mark in doubles...won four of his five tiebreakers...had a win over #103 Alex Bose of Duke at the ACC Indoor Championships.
Prep - Won the Tar Heel Qualifier to advance to Southerns in the summer of 2001 ... ranked in the Top 25 of the USTA Boy's 16s ... attended Naples High School in Naples, Fla., graduating in May 2001.
