NCAA Qualifier (2005) • ACC Champion (2005)
2006-07: The Tar Heels' starter at 125 pounds • Posted a 21-8 record on the season for the third-most victories on the team • The 21 wins matched his career-best effort established in 2004-05 • Recorded a team-best 14-2 dual record and went 6-0 against the ACC • Placed third at the ACC Championships, topping Ross Gitomer of Virginia (5-4) and Kellan McKeon of Duke (6-3) after an opening round loss to McKeon • Won 14 of his final 16 bouts, including victories in eight straight duals to close the regular season • Defeated 17th-ranked Colin Cudd of Wisconsin in the ACC/Big Ten Clash (4-3).
2005-06: Redshirt season • Did not wrestle after Dec. 30 but recorded a 13-4 overall mark, including three pins • Placed fourth at the East Stroudsburg Open and the Nittany Lion Open.
2004-05: Finished the season as Carolina's starter at 125 pounds • 2005 ACC individual champion at 125 pounds • Defeated Justin Staylor of Virginia Tech, 9-2, in the final • Made his first NCAA Championships appearance and posted a 2-2 record • Finished in first place at the Missouri Open in the freshman/sophomore division • Accumulated a career-high 21 wins against nine losses • Tied for the third most major decision wins on the team with four • Missed some time early in the season due to a shoulder injury.
2003-04: Carolina's starter at 125 pounds • Tied for fifth on the team with 15 wins against 13 losses • Was 10-9 in duals and 1-4 against the ACC • Recorded three wins via fall and three major decision victories • Placed sixth at the Carolina Rubbermaid Open with a 4-2 record in the event.
Prep: Wrestled for four years at St. Stephens High School • Four-time North Carolina state champion • First four-time state champ since former Tar Heel JohnMark Bentley • Posted a 215-2 prep record from 1999-2003 • Earned All-America honors while in high school • Also played four years of soccer as a forward.
