2009-10: Ranked third on the team in wins with a 22-13 record as the starter at 165 pounds • Finished with two pins and one major decision victory • Started season with a fifth-place finish at the Hokie Open while logging a 5-1 record • Posted a 4-2 mark at the Southern Scuffle • Earned dual ACC victories in tight bouts against Virginia and NC State • Went 3-1 at the ACC Championships to finish third after dropping a semifinal contest against Matt Epperly of Virginia Tech in the closing seconds.
2008-09: Redshirt season • Posted an 8-5 record in unattached action at 165 pounds • Placed second at the Hokie Open with a 3-1 record • Also took eighth at the Southern Scuffle with a 3-2 mark • Went 2-2 at the Mat Town Open.
2007-08: Recorded an 18-15 record as the Tar Heels' starter at 174 pounds • Went 6-7 in dual action and 1-3 versus the ACC • Picked one pin and two victories via major decision • Finished fourth at the ACC Championships with wins over NC State's Randy Goodman (6-1) and Duke's Ben Wales (7-6) • Also placed fifth in the Freshman/Sophomore Division at the Michigan State Open with a 3-2 record.
Prep: Four-time New Jersey state place winner at Ocean Township High School • Finished second in the state as a senior • Two-time Beast of the East tournament finalist • Ranked in the top 20 nationally.
