2007-08: Wrestled unattached in seven bouts and posted a 4-3 record • Went 3-1 at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic to take second • Also saw action at the Michigan State Open.
2006-07: Redshirt season • Posted an 0-4 record at the ACC/Big Ten Clash and Southern Scuffle before ending his season due to a shoulder injury.
2005-06: Went 24-15 as the Tar Heels' starter at 174 pounds • Captured his first ACC title and made his first appearance at the NCAA Championships • Was 13-7 in duals and 4-0 versus the ACC • Recorded four pins and a pair of major decision victories • Won the ACC championship at 174 with wins over Duke's Levi Craig (8-5) and Virginia's Mike Grogan (16-5 MD) • Was 0-2 at nationals • Also earned second-place finishes at the Carolina Open and the East Stroudsburg Open.
