COASTAL CAROLINA SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 11-0 all-time against Coastal Carolina.
Saturday's game marks the fifth consecutive season in which the two teams have met. Carolina won back-to-back home games in 2004 and 2005, while the Tar Heels triumphed, 87-48, in Myrtle Beach in 2006, and 82-58 in Conway in 2007.

Coastal Carolina is 6-2 on the season following a 78-48 loss at Butler on Dec. 6.
Junior Amanda Stull leads the Chants in scoring with 12.3 points per contest.

TAR HEELS TOUGH TO BEAT AT HOME
The Nov. 25 win over Wofford improved Carolina's overall home record since the beginning of the 2004-05 season to 71-2. The Tar Heels have won 25 straight in Chapel Hill, including their last eight home conference games. With the win over Wofford, the Tar Heels have now won 72 consecutive non-conference home games. Carolina's last home setback against a non-conference opponent was a 94-77 loss to Oklahoma on Jan. 21, 2001.
CAROLINA IN THE SMITH CENTER
UNC will play all of its home games at the Dean E. Smith Center in 2008-09 while Carmichael Auditorium is renovated.
The Tar Heels are 23-9 all-time at the Smith Center.
Carolina first played in the Smith Center during the 1986-87 season, the first full year that the building was open.
Prior to last season's win over Arizona State in the Smith Center, the Tar Heels had not played a regular season game there since a 75-72 overtime win over NC State on Feb. 20, 2005.
