    North Carolina returns home after a rough two-game road trip when the Tar Heels host Georgia Tech Sunday at 2 p.m. at Carmichael Arena. Carolina enters the contest 17-7 on the year and 7-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference after a 61-37 loss at Miami on Wednesday. Georgia Tech is 17-7 and 7-4 in the ACC following a 64-56 loss to Maryland on Monday. UNC is ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and receiving votes in the coaches' poll. Georgia Tech is ranked No. 22 in the AP poll and No. 23 in the coaches' poll.

    Shenise Johnson scored 19 points and Riquna Williams added 17 to lead No. 6 Miami to a 61-37 win over No. 22 North Carolina on Wednesday night. Stefanie Yderstrom chipped in 10 points for the Hurricanes, who won their 38th straight home game. With the win, Miami (21-3, 10-1 ACC) avenged its only loss in the ACC. North Carolina beat Miami 65-63 in Chapel Hill on Jan. 2. Laura Broomfield scored seven points to lead North Carolina (17-7, 7-4 ACC).

    Crawley Named Carolina's ACC Tournament Legend

    The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its eighth annual class of ACC Women's Basketball Legends Thursday and former North Carolina standout and current Boston College head coach Sylvia Crawley was named UNC's Legend. In addition to Crawley, former Carolina All-America Bernadette McGlade was named Georgia Tech's Legend.

Wood scored the game's final seven points for North Carolina (17-5, 7-2 ACC). The Tar Heels won their first meeting with Virginia (16-8, 4-6) 78-73 in double overtime Jan. 5 in Charlottesville, Va.
