1999: Played in 19 games and was in the starting lineup for the last 10
games of the season - Scored six goals, two against Virginia Commonwealth
(Oct. 15) and one each against Massachusetts (Sept. 25), Wake Forest (Oct.
12), Virginia (Oct. 17) and Richmond (Oct. 24) - Also had four assists - One
of those came against Virginia Commonwealth, giving her a total of five
points for the game - During the summer of '99, participated in the United
Airlines summer field hockey league, playing for the championship-winning
Southern Charm
1998: Played in all 21 games, starting four - Scored a goal at James
Madison - Totaled four assists, two each at Wake Forest and against
Radford - Made the Dean's List and ACC Honor Roll
1997: Played in 13 games, starting two - Scored a goal against Penn State in
her first collegiate game - Also scored a goal against Radford
1996: A redshirt in her first season at UNC
At the Principia School: MVP and team's leading scorer as a sophomore,
junior and senior - In 1994, helped set school record for most wins during a
season and was named an All-America Player to Watch - All-conference
selection as a junior and senior - Under-18 Junior Olympics participant in
'94 - National Futures Tournaments 1993-96 - Also lettered four years in
basketball and track, earning all-conference honors in both sports - State
champion in the 800-meter run - Still holds several school records in
track - Named one of the St. Louis Dispatch's Top-10 scholar-athletes -
Two-time class president, National Merit Scholar and valedictorian
Personal: Daughter of Gay and Warren Huff - Born Dec. 25, 1977, in St.

More on Holly: Favorite UNC classes have been her Advanced Leadership
Development Seminar ("because I gained valuable insights which helped me
change my approach to leadership and improve my leadership style-it was
interactive and my classmates were some of the most amazing people I've ever
met") and 16th century literature ("most challenging and intellectually
stimulating course I've taken-awesome professor, bright classmates, small
class size") - Favorite thing about UNC is going to basketball games - Best
part of being a varsity athlete is that "you get to be part of a team and
interact daily with an awesome group of people who have the same athletic
goals you do" - Most important things learned from athletics have been
self-discipline and teamwork - Prays before every game - If she could play
another sport at UNC, it would be basketball - The UNC athletes she most
admires are Michael Jordan ("just amazing") and Jana Toepel ("She's on the
national team, yet still gets great grades, keeps in touch with the team and
makes all of us feel important") - Favorite road trip has been the ACC-Big
Ten Challenge in her hometown of St. Louis - Greatest influence on her
athletic career has been her parents, "because they have always supported
me, but have given me the space to make this my own experience" - In 10
years, sees herself raising a family, teaching high school English and
coaching - Loves to water-ski - Is engaged to marry Greg Bruland in May of
