    Final Results

    WILMINGTON, N.C. -

    The University of North Carolina women's golf team finished tied for eighth place in The Landfall Tradition, played at the Country Club of Landfall's Nicklaus course. The team shot 313 in the final round to finish with a 932 tournament total. Casey Grice led the Heels with a 5-over-par 77 in the final round, and finished tied for tenth in the individual race.

    Grice, a sophomore from College Station, Texas, finished the tournament with an 11-over 227 total, firing three birdies in the final round of play. Fellow sophomore Jackie Chang tied for 45th place after having a 5-over 77 third round and 237 final score. She finished two of her last three holes shooting birdies. Junior Courtney Gunter from Matthews, N.C. shot an 80 in the third round and 238 overall, and tied for 53rd place. Katherine Perry, a sophomore from Paradise Valley, Ariz., finished the day at 84 and totaled 239 to be tied for 59th, and senior Allie White from Lancaster, Ohio, had a third round total of 79 and finished tied for 66th with a 241 total.

    Purdue finished the tournament in first place, shooting a 904 total, 14 strokes in front of second-place Auburn, who shot 918. Ohio State finished third with 919, ad South Carolina was fourth with 922. Iowa state and Michigan State tied for fifth with923 total.

    Purdue's Paula Reto won the individual race after firing a 2-under 70 third round, and 2-over 218 tournament total. Alejandra Cangrejo of Duke and Victoria Trapani of Auburn tied for second, carding a 5-over 221 final. South Carolina's Katie Burnett and Michigan State's Caroline Powers and Lindsey Solberg tied for fourth, finishing at 244.
