Elizabeth Durkac was named the 2012 Most Outstanding Gymnast at North Carolina's annual team banquet. Durkac was one of the most consistent performers this year, scoring a 39.0 or higher in the all-around in the last eight consecutive meets of the season.

North Carolina senior Morgan Evans scored a 38.800 in the all-around competition at the 2012 NCAA Gymnastics Championships. Evans did not advance to the finals. It was the second championship appearance for Evans, who concludes her UNC career as one of the school's top performers.

Meet Results
North Carolina came in fifth place Saturday at the NCAA Gymnastics Regional in Raleigh at Reynolds Coliseum. The Heels finished with a score of 194.025. The University of Florida was in first place with a 197.325.

For the 11th straight season, North Carolina has been selected to compete in an NCAA Gymnastics Championships regional. The Tar Heels are one of six teams that will compete in the Raleigh Regional at Reynolds Coliseum on April 7 at 4 p.m. They will be joined by NC State, Florida, Kent State, Ohio State and Penn State.

Five Tar Heels were named to EAGL All-Conference teams at the 2012 EAGL Championship Banquet, at the Westin Convention Center. Senior Morgan Evans was named EAGL Outstanding Senior Gymnast, and senior Elizabeth Lindley was named EAGL Team MVP.
