CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Junior defender Whitney Engen was honored this week with selection for a pair of National Teams of Week after winning defensive Most Valubale Player honors last weekend in the 2008 Duke adidas Classic.
On Tuesday, Engen was named to September 23, 2008 Elite Team of the Week by Soccer Buzz for play during the week of September 15, 2008.
On September 22, 2008, the native of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. was named to the
TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's College Team of the Week.
Carolina plays two ACC matches this weekend and both will be webcast live on ACC Select. The Tar Heels play Clemson Thursday at 7 p.m. in Clemson, S.C. and Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
