This week's featured Q&A session on TarHeelBlue.com for the UNC women's soccer program has UNC Athletic Communications student assistant T.J. Scholl, a sophomore, interviewing senior defender Kristi Eveland of Southlake, Texas. Eveland is one of the most underrated players in college soccer and has excelled on the field and in the classroom with equal aplomb during her four years as a Tar Heel. Enjoy this week's Q&A.

THB.com: With this being your last year playing as a Tar Heel, what are your emotions coming into your final season?
KE: I'm really excited and encouraged about this year's team and all the talent we have. I'd be lying if I didn't say there is also a sense of sadness knowing that this is the last time I'll be able to be a part of this program and this amazing experience, but I'm more focused on enjoying the moment and taking in everything one last time.

THB.com: What's the biggest difference in your game now from when you started as a freshman?
KE: I think I'm much more comfortable on the ball offensively. My main focus is still defense but I've tried to improve my distribution and decision-making from my freshman year.

THB.com: Last year you were honored on many All-Academic teams. How does it feel so be recognized for all your hard work?
KE: I was really humbled and honored by the awards, but I don't think those honors will ever matter to me as much as the honors and achievements that our team achieves. The national championships that I've been able to be a part of are definitely my favorite memories and those accomplishments mean the world to me.

THB.com: What is the most important thing you have learned, outside of soccer, from Coach Dorrance?
KE: I think one of the most important things I've learned from Anson is the value in being disciplined. From our summer fitness packet to the formation that we play, everything in this program has helped me learn the importance and benefits of being disciplined in all aspects of my life.

THB.com: Besides winning another national championship, what are your goals for this year?
KE: My goals for this year are to get as many shutouts as possible and get more involved offensively. I've loved playing with Whitney and Rachel for the past two years and I think we can limit the goals against as well as contribute to goals for our team.

THB.com: What is your favorite movie?
KE: My favorite movie is Pretty Woman because I love Julia Roberts.

THB.com: Where is your favorite place to eat?
KE: 411 West. The food there is amazing.

THB.com: Outside of athletics, what is your favorite thing to do?
KE: I really like spending time with my friends and teammates. Going to dinner, shopping or just hanging out is always fun. I want to spend as much time with my friends as possible because those relationships are what mean the most to me.

THB.com: If you could travel any place in the world where and why?
KE: I would go to Europe for a long period of time so I could go to as many countries as possible. I've never been to Europe and there are so many incredible places I'd love to see and visit.
