PITCHING & CATCHING
Pitchers will be taught in-depth specifics of throwing pitches by UNC Pitching Coach, Beverly Smith and a staff of experienced pitching coaches. Learn drills that you can take home to develop or improve your rise, drop, curve and screwball. If you want to learn a new change-up, this is the camp for you! We recommend that pitchers have a strong base and understanding of pitching mechanics prior to attending. Catchers will be taught by an experienced catching staff . Instruction will include advanced techniques for blocking, throwing, framing, calling pitches and much more. This 2-day camp (4 sessions total) is NOT AN OVERNIGHT CAMP. The fee includes tuition, full dining, professional medical attention, and a Nike Softball T-Shirt. Check-in will occur from 1:30-2:30 on Monday, July 13th at the UNC Eugene G. Anderson Stadium. Camp will end at 4:30 on Tuesday, July 14th. ADVANCED CAMP
This is a camp for players who desire a higher level of instruction. Players will be divided into competitive teams for all sessions. Sessions will focus on team strategies as well as individual skill work beyond the basics. All sessions enable the players to learn and practice skills that are needed for success at the next level. This camp is designed for girls in grades 9-12. It is recommended for campers enrolling in this camp to have played at least one season on a High School Varsity team or will be playing on your Varsity team next year. This 4-day camp (8 sessions total) is geared toward girls in grades 9-12. The fee includes tuition, housing, full dining, professional medical attention, and a Nike Softball Camp t-shirt. Check-in will be held Tuesday, July 14 from 2-4 pm in Morrison Dorm. Camp ends at noon on Friday July 17th. STRENGTH & CONDITIONING - ACADEMICS - JUGS RADAR - VIDEO ANALYSIS ALL SKILLS
Coach Donna J. Papa and a staff of experienced college and high school coaches will instruct participants of all skill levels. Fundamentals of the game will be emphasized, hitting, bunting, pitching, catching, infield and outfield play, base-running, and game competition. A conditioning training session is also offered. Demonstrations, drills, practice sessions and game competition are included in the session. The 8:1 camper ratio allows for more individualized instruction. This camp is a 4-day camp (8 sessions) geared toward all skill levels and all positions for ages 10-18. Campers are divided by age and skill levels to provide the appropriate learning environment. The fee includes tuition, housing, full dining, professional medical attention, and a Nike Softball camp t-shirt. Check-in Monday, July 20th from 2-4 pm in Morrison Dorm. LIL HEELS
This camp is designed for 5-9 year olds and will cover basic softball skills for the young player including throwing, fielding, hitting and base running. If you want to get your young softball player off to a good start, this camp is for you! This camp is in its seventh year and is a 3 session 3-day daycamp . The fee includes tuition, professional medical attention, and a Lil' Heels Softball Camp t-shirt. Check-in will occur from 8:00-8:45 AM on Tuesday, July 21 at the UNC Eugene G. Anderson Stadium. Since the beginning of our camps, the single most important factor has been hiring outstanding coaches. The goal of Carolina Softball Camps is to provide each camper with the opportunity to improve her current skill level. In addition to the Tar Heel coaching staff and players, the camp will consist of collegiate players, outstanding NCAA, NAIA, junior college coaches, former LPFA players, and well respected high school coaches from the Carolina region and throughout the country.
