    No. 7 Carolina Opens NCAA Championship Play Friday

    UNC will meet A-10 champ Richmond at 1 p.m.

    Energetic senior who adds depth to the Carolina lineup in both singles and doubles • Active participant in the Carolina Leadership Academy as part of the Veteran Leaders program • Awarded the CLA's highest honor, the Tar Heel Leader of Distinction • Also helped coordinate the team's community service efforts.

    JUNIOR SEASON (2010-11) Finished the season with a 15-13 singles record, including an 8-5 mark in dual match play • Also had a 13-9 mark in doubles action, playing primarily with Jelena Durisic and Tessa Lyons • Opened the dual match season with four straight wins, including straight-set victories over DePaul's Cali Gustafson and Georgia's Kate Fuller • Scored a 6-0, 6-0 win over Washington's Adrijana Pavlovic in the opening round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships • Took one of two points in the loss at Northwestern, a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, win over Elena Chernyakova • Beat Miami's Brittany Dubins, 6-4, 7-6 (4), to help the Tar Heels rally for a 4-3 win in Coral Gables • Teamed with Lyons for doubles wins against Georgia Tech and Clemson.

    SOPHOMORE SEASON (2009-10) Teamed with Jocelyn Ffriend to become a fixture in the doubles lineup at No. 3 • Finished the season with a 10-4 singles record and a 20-8 doubles mark • Compiled a 13-5 dual record with Ffriend, including a 4-1 mark in ACC play • Won eight of their first nine doubles matches, including wins over opponents from Notre Dame, Georgia and Baylor • Appeared in one dual match in singles • Had a standout tournament season, compiling a 10-3 singles record and a 7-3 doubles record playing with Ffriend and Jennifer Stone • Won four of five singles matches at the ITA Carolinas Region Championships • Entered the spring ranked No. 28 in the nation and No. 8 in the region in doubles with Ffriend.

    FRESHMAN SEASON (2008-09) Finished the season with a 7-3 singles record and an 8-5 doubles record • Was a perfect 2-0 in dual match singles, with wins against NC State and Elon • Won five of six doubles matches in dual play, teaming with Sanaz Marand, Linzee Mabrey and Laura Reichert • Had an impressive run at the ITA Southeast Regionals in the fall, winning three straight matches to advance out of pre-qualifying • Also won a pair of doubles matches at the ITA Regionals with Reichert.
