WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- North Carolina senior Sophie Grabinski and junior Sanaz Marand completed their five-match run by winning the doubles championship Monday at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regionals at Wake Forest's Indoor Tennis Center. Grabinski and Marand, the No. 2 seed in the event and the No. 10 duo in the country, defeated NC State's Berkeley Brock and Lenka Hojckova, 8-2.

"Sanaz and Sophie played great, aggressive tennis today," head coach Brian Kalbas said after the match. "They were able to apply a lot of pressure on their opponents and really take them out of their game plan. I think after making the final last year they were really hungry to get some redemption."

By virtue of winning the regional title, Grabinski and Marand earn an automatic bid to the ITA national tournament Nov. 6-9 in Charlottesville, Va.
