    No. 13 North Carolina rallied from 3-0 down to score a thrilling 4-3 victory over No. 23 Notre Dame Saturday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. Notre Dame won a tight doubles point and two singles matches before Zoe De Bruycker, Shinann Featherston, Gina Suarez-Malaguti and Tessa Lyons posted four straight wins for the Tar Heels.

    No. 13 North Carolina continues its month-long road trip Saturday when the Tar Heels face No. 23 Notre Dame at 11 a.m. at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. Carolina is 6-4 on the season following a win over No. 13 Georgia Tech at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships last Sunday. Notre Dame is 5-2 after a road win at No. 18 Vanderbilt on Feb. 5.

    Four Tar Heels Earn ACC Honor

    Four North Carolina student-athletes have been selected as recipients of ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Awards, as announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Taylor Brown (gymnastics), Shinann Featherston (women's tennis) and Blair Meiggs (rowing) are among 36 ACC student-athletes selected for postgraduate scholarships. Tyler Zeller (men's basketball) is among six from the conference who were named as honorary recipients.

    No. 8 Tar Heels Top No. 13 Georgia Tech, 4-2

    No. 8 North Carolina closed out its run at the 2012 ITA National Team Indoor Championships with a 4-2 win over Atlantic Coast Conference foe No. 13 Georgia Tech early Monday morning at the Boar's Head Sports Club. With play backed up several hours due to previous matches, the Tar Heels were forced to play deep into the night, not clinching the victory over the Yellow Jackets until after midnight.

    No. 8 UNC Drops Another Tight Match To No. 5 Baylor

    No. 8 North Carolina raced out to a 3-0 lead but was unable to hold off No. 5 Baylor in a 4-3 consolation round loss Saturday night in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at the Boar's Head Sports Club. Carolina won the doubles point and got singles victories from Tessa Lyons and Gina Suarez-Malaguti, but the Lady Bears closed with four straight wins to take the dual.
