    Former North Carolina standout Eve Rackham joined the University of North Carolina volleyball coaching staff in May of 2009. A 2003 UNC alum, Rackham was a four-year starting setter from 1999-2002 leading the Tar Heels to three ACC Tournament Championships and a regular season title in 2002. Rackham returns to Chapel Hill after coaching stints at Colgate, East Carolina and most recently Florida International.

    During her time Carolina appeared in four NCAA Tournaments, including an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2002 and the highest ranking ever (No.11) for Carolina in the AVCA Coaches' Top Twenty Poll.

    The all-time assists average leader in North Carolina history, Rackham earned first-team All-ACC and first-team AVCA All-Region in 2002. Rackham was part of the winningest class in school history from 1999-2002 as the Tar Heels complied a 115-22 record, winning 84 percent of their games. The Sebastopol, Calif., native graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with a degree in journalism and mass communication.

    Along with developing the offense, Rackham's responsibilities include serving as the recruiting coordinator for the Tar Heels. A former setter, Rackham has helped to develop a Carolina offense that ranked amongst the best in the country in 2010. The Tar Heels ranked 10th in the nation in assists per set with 13.52 and 16th in kills per set with 14.37. In just her second season as assistant, she helped guide UNC to a 25-10 mark overall and the most wins since 2002.

    She spent the 2004 season at Colgate guiding the 2003 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year Natalie Rawson. Rackham returned to the state of the North Carolina for the 2005 campaign where she started a three-year run at East Carolina. She helped lead the Pirates to a 20-11 mark in 2005, just the third 20-win season in school history, and coached seven Conference USA all-league players.

    The 2008 season saw Rackham make a move to Miami where she helped lead FIU to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001. She guided AVCA All-American and All-Region Yarimar Rosa, who led the NCAA in kills per set in 2008 with a 5.21 average. Rackham also coached all-conference setter Natalia Valentin and Newcomer of the year Isadora Rangel.
