    Atlanta, Ga. - The North Carolina volleyball team fell to 5th-ranked Georgia Tech 3-1. The Tar Heels lost 21-30, 25-30, 30-28, 22-30. UNC falls to 15-8 overall and 6-3 in the ACC, while Georgia Tech improves to 21-0 overall and 9-0 in the ACC.

    Junior outside hitter Molly Pyles led the Tar Heels with 17 kills and 16 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Dani Nyenhuis had 17 kills and six digs, while junior middle hitter Katie Wright had 14 kills. Senior middle hitter Aletha Green had 14 kills and three blocks. Junior libero Caroline deRoeck had eleven digs, while sophomore defensive specialist Taylor Rayfield contributed eleven digs as well.

    In the first game, the Tar Heels got off to a 3-0 lead, but Georgia Tech quickly countered. The Yellow Jackets won the game 30-21. In the second game, UNC hung close throughout, but Georgia Tech was able to pull away at the end with a 30-25 win.

    In the third game, the two teams were close throughout, but UNC battled their way to a win at the end 30-28. Pyles had five kills and eight digs in the game to help Carolina to the win. In the fourth and final game, UNC got off to a 2-0 start, but couldn't maintain the lead as they lost 22-30.

    The game was televised on tape delay and can be seen Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m. on Fox Sports South. The Tar Heels will next travel tomorrow to Clemson to take on the 13-11 Tigers. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
