    CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Senior transfer Branagan Fuller has wowed Carolina volleyball fans as of late with her stellar play. Fuller sports 56 kills in her last five games, including a team-high 16 kill performance in a 3-0 win over Miami earning a Carolina career-high. The senior transferred to Carolina from UNC Greensboro, where she amassed over 1200 kills and 800 digs in her three year career as a Spartan. Fuller registered a career high 32 kills as a Spartan, as she ranks fourth in kills in UNC Greensboro history in just three seasons. The Murrieta, Calif. native was a member of the Bring It Promotions/USA Developmental Team that participated in the 2008 Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia during the 2008 summer.

    TarHeelBlue.com: What is the team focusing on to improve heading into the last ten games of the season?
    Fuller: We are really trying to focus on defensive intensity 100% of the time. All of our drills are centered around results not just effort.

    THB.com: Why did you decide to transfer to UNC?
    BF: I decided to transfer after my head coach at UNC Greensboro left. I always wanted to play at the next level and Chapel Hill was the perfect place, better late than never.


    THB.com: Has there been a big adjustment in strength of play between the ACC and Southern Conference?
    BF: The biggest difference between the Southern Conference and ACC play is that you have to prepare for the entire team, not just a few certain players.


    THB.com: What was the most difficult part of the transition in coming to UNC?
    BF: Finding my way around campus!


    THB.com: Who is the toughest player on the UNC squad you go against in practice?
    BF: Everyone is tough.



     

     

    THB.com: What is the best advice you've received?
    BF: Play to win, do not play not to lose - from my dad.


    THB.com: Who is the funniest person on the team?
    BF: Heather Brooks and Cora Harms.


    THB.com: What has been your favorite road trip so far this season?
    BF: Any trip with Lorenzo Charles is good with me. (Charles, popular amongst the volleyball team, is well-known as scoring the winning basket in the 1983 National Championship game for N.C. State. Recently Charles has served as the team's bus driver on away trips.)


    THB.com: What is the best thing about being a Tar Heel?
    BF:I love my teammates. They are the best part about being here.

    BF: Franklin Street Pizza and Pasta
