The Ram has been a long standing symbol of North Carolina's athletic program for over 70 years. Rameses and the Ram mascot are fan favorites in Kenan Stadium, Carmichael Auditorium and the Dean Smith Center.

UNC has a reputation for producing some of the top athletes in the nation. Several great Carolina alumni have gone on to have excellent careers in the professional ranks as well.
